Take the feeling home.

Celebrating colour, connection and moments.

Helping you remember how it felt.

Our Why

Mum’s dream was to open an Australiana store.

Our's became something more.

Port Douglas isn’t just somewhere people visit.

It’s where you reconnect.

Where you slow down.

Where you remember what matters.

That feeling stays with you.

We curate pieces inspired by colour, warmth and story so you can take a little of it home.

How We Started

It was always Mum’s dream to open an Australiana store.

In 1982, that dream came to life.

What began as one small shop in Warrandyte grew slowly - across Melbourne, then up to Queensland.

Townsville.

Cairns.

And in 2002, Port Douglas.

You can visit us in Port Douglas,
or shop a selection of our range online.

Bringing Your Adventures Home

From our own travels, we’ve always brought pieces of the experience home with us.

Not just souvenirs.

Memory anchors.

Souvenirs, books, art and small finds that capture how a place felt in that moment.

That philosophy shapes Amazing Tropicana Australiana.

We curate pieces inspired by tropical North Queensland - playful, thoughtful and layered.

With a strong focus on Australian brands and Australian-made products wherever possible.

Whether you’re visiting Port Douglas or shopping online, our aim is simple:

To help you take the feeling home.
