In many ways, Amazing Tropicana Australiana is more than just a store to us. It’s a legacy—Mum’s dream continues on and a heartfelt tribute to the beauty of tropical north Queensland and the outback.
With family or with friends, Port Douglas will always be our happy place. This is where we come together, to reconnect and appreciate the moment, while creating happy memories.
How We Started
It was always Mum’s dream to open an Australiana store. And in 1982, that dream came to life! That first shop in Warrandyte grew to include more locations in Melbourne, then Townsville, Cairns, and, in 2002, Port Douglas.
Today we have four stores in Port Douglas. This store is our latest, created to celebrate the reef, rainforest and outback, reflecting the beauty of this incredible part of the world.
Bringing Your Adventures Home
From my travels, I’ve picked up trinkets, souvenirs, clothes, books. If it ‘spoke’ to me, I would somehow jam it into my luggage!
To me, they’re more than souvenirs—they’re memory sparks.
And we want you to take home or give some magic as part of your journey too.
